Hyderabad: V.V. Srinivasa Rao, chairman of the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), announced the introduction of the Aadhaar face authentication process for applicants. This initiative, implemented in collaboration with the regional office of the UIDAI in Hyderabad, aims to prevent the issue of impersonators during the police recruitment process and ensure state-of-the-art security standards, a statement said. Srinivas Rao said the police recruitment board had become the first government recruitment agency to implement the offline verification method introduced by UIDAI.
It was stated that 98.7 per cent of the total 4,23,348 candidates had completed Aadhaar face authentication via the Aadhaar app on their mobile phones, while only 1.3 per cent (5,652 candidates) have yet to complete it.
The statement said the board was providing appropriate assistance with the active cooperation of the UIDAI to candidates who were unable to complete the Aadhaar face authentication process.
