Neha Kakkar and Abhijeet Bhattacharya had a spat following a debate on a reality show about whether Bollywood singers should perform at weddings or not.
Now, after two years of the same, Abhijeet took a jibe at the Coca-Cola singer, Neha, for charging in crores. Abhijeet had earlier commented about the Bollywood singers performing at weddings and even revealed that he had not even sung at his own wedding. Abhijeet, in the recent interview, has again reflected on his previous comments.

Abhijeet recently sat for an interview with Subhojit Ghosh on YouTube, wherein the singer discussed about the previous topic of wedding performances by singers. During that time, the interviewer asked Abhijeet about his past feud with Neha Kakkar.
Talking about the same, the singer mentioned that while the interviewer had taken the name, he would not even do the same because no matter what he does, it ends up being a publicity stunt. Abhijeet further mentioned that the one who is being talked about is an amazing singer just like her sister. Asking where the singer is right now, Abhijeet said:
“Aap toh naam le rahe ho, main toh naam bhi nahi lunga. Kyunki main gaali bhi deta hoon toh publicity hoti hai. Toh main dunga hi nahi. Excellent singer, uski sister bhi excellent singer hai. Lekin, ab kahan hai?”
In the same interview, Abhijeet Bhattacharya revealed that Neha Kakkar charges up to Rs. 1 crore for her performances, but he is not someone who would reveal the amount he earned for his performances during weddings or events. Bhattacharya felt that it was just marketing from Neha’s end, which she should have done better. He added that Neha was fine when she was younger, and then she grew up. Abhijeet’s exact words were:
“1 crore leti hoon. Ab main kaise kahu main 5 crore ya 10 crore ya 50 lakh leta hoon. Yeh bolke market bana na… bacchi thi theek tha phir itni badi ho gayi. Aisi nahi honi chahiye. Marketing karo, acche se karo.”

Earlier, an old clip of Neha Kakkar and Abhijeet Bhattacharya went viral, wherein they were seen indulging in a heated argument. The video was from a reality show where Abhijeet was invited. Neha Kakkar was also a part of the show. In the clip, Abhijeet voiced his dislike for singers performing at weddings, as he felt that it just diminishes their status, aura and talents.
Abhijeet added that if someone ever asked him to perform in a wedding, he would straight away deny it. Yet in another clip that made rounds on social media, where the singer told a young female performer that he would sing at her wedding, Abhijeet shared that he hates to sing at weddings so much that he didn’t do the same at his own wedding as well. Abhijeet further revealed that it was for the same reason that his father-in-law did not give him money for tailoring his suit. Coming back to the recent interview, Abhijeet emphasised that he would never sing at weddings, and if anybody wants to listen to him, they should join him at his concert.
