Adam Thomas and his brothers Scott and actor Ryan’s relationship with ITV is reportedly ‘on the rocks’ with the family said to be at risk being ‘blacklisted’ by the channel
Adam Thomas has returned to work with fears growing he and his brothers could become ‘blacklisted’ from ITV following the I’m A Celebrity fall-out.
The siblings, Adam’s twin Scott and actor Ryan, are reportedly “on the rocks’” with ITV after slaming the ‘toxic’ All Stars series. Their podcast comments have caused a stir with Adam, 37, claiming he had been “bullied” and “exploited” following the explosive Jimmy Bullard and David Haye rows – despite him winning the show.
He is keen to move forward after the experience, and is back on set at Waterloo Road as his character Donte Charles returns in the BBC drama. Adam has been on the show on and off for more than 15 years, and he took to Instagram to show fans that filming is back underway in a classroom with a crew member holding a clapper board.
It has been claimed trouble is brewing between the Thomas brothers and ITV with the relationship between the family and the channel at breaking point. Adam is yet to appear on any more ITV shows to discuss his I’m a Celeb success, unheard of with the winner usually expected to carry out further media duties.
Adam believes I’m A Celebrity has “tarnished” for him following his “inescapable” bullying row and has insisted that he will never watch the show with his children again. Appearing on the latest episode of his At Home With The Thomas Bros podcast, he shed light on his second appearance on the series, telling his siblings: “No one knows, even now, me explaining it, you’ll never understand.
“I’ll never understand. It’s so hard to process everything I’ve been through. The fact that it’s just been turned into entertainment for live TV, for a family show that I loved.
“I’ve got so much to thank this show for. 10 years ago, this show put me on the map. It was the first show I did that was reality, people got to see me for the very first time ever. I probably would never have the career I’ve had if it wasn’t for this show so I owe a lot to this show.”
But he added: “That live show, I just felt like I’d just been exploited, and I think you can see it, at the end of it,” he said, looking back on his time taking part. “I felt like I was in the midst of it all, and it wasn’t even about me.
“I feel like I’m getting blamed and I had no control over the edit, how they were going to show me, how they were going to show other campmates, and yet I still feel like I’m being accused of that.”
Should ITV decide to steer clear, he won’t struggle for money. During breaks from acting, he pursued a career as a property executive with Kamani Property Group, a company helmed by billionaire Adam Kamani. He notably stated that he had “made a fortune” working in the property sector during intervals between acting commitments.
He also jointly owns A&C Thomas Entertainment alongside his wife. This company, through which Thomas manages his professional income and media work, makes a substantial contribution to his overall wealth and has demonstrated robust financial performance in recent times. With Adam and Caroline as the sole two staff members, they’re able to take their earnings directly via salaries and dividend payments.
