Hyderabad: An advocate died after suffering serious injuries in an alleged hit-and-run incident that took place in Masab Tank on Saturday.
The advocate identified as Khaja Mohiuddin, who was reportedly fighting for protection of Waqf board lands, opened his car’s rear door and kept a hand bag in it. When he was about to open the front door to drive the vehicle, an SUV came from behind, hit him at high speed and fled.
Locals came to his rescue and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. It appeared that the SUV was waiting a few meters away from the spot to ram into the advocate with an intention to cause harm to him by enacting it as a hit-and-run incident.
