AEW Redemption felt like a very different offering in the event’s debut.
Sure, you continued to get some darn good bell-to-bell action, but this felt like one of AEW’s better storytelling pay-per-views at the top of the card.
It was a fine appetizer for All In and there were plenty of changes in the landscape and title-holders on the way to Wembley Stadium on Aug. 30. But a good number of these matches and title changes might have felt more meaningful on Dynamite. This would have made two stellar episodes instead of a pay-per-view on the lower end of AEW’s offerings with the bar so high.
