Ahan Shetty is gearing up for his next movie, after the success of Border 2. He starred in it, alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan. He has reportedly secured the title Sanki for his upcoming film with director Tinu Desai. While security titles is carried through personal channels, Ahan personally reached out to producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who previously owned it.

Many reports suggest that Sanki was originally tied to a project Nadiadwala had planned with Ahan. However, when the actor wanted the title for a different film, he skipped intermediaries and contacted the producer himself.

What followed highlights their long-standing equation, as there were no negotiations and Nadiadwala agreed to pass on the title as a gesture of friendship. Nadiadwala launched Ahan in Bollywood with Tadap and shares a decades-old association with the Shetty family.

Opening up about his debut film Tadap during an interview with Filmfare, Ahan had said, “The biggest lesson has been that patience isn’t passive, it’s actually the hardest form of discipline. When Tadap was released during the pandemic, with all those restrictions, I learned that you can prepare with everything you have, give your absolute best, and then… you have to let go. The outcome isn’t always in your control.”

While sharing about Border 2, he added, “Sharing screen space with these powerhouses (Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh) was both humbling and energising. With Sunny sir, there’s this legacy, this weight of what Border means to an entire generation. Just watching him embody that responsibility was a masterclass. He carries that quiet authority naturally, there’s nothing he needs to prove, and that confidence is contagious.”
