Hyderabad:For the first time, Hyderabad police deployed an AI‑powered public safety platform integrating CCTV cameras and drones during Ganesh immersion at Khairatabad and Balapur. The system linked field officers with the TG‑ICCC command centre, enabling real‑time crowd monitoring and coordination.
BYCAI AI‑Solutions founder Sayed Amjad Hussain said the deployment was a “major success” and thanked city police commissioner V. C. Sajjanar for trusting the software. Two command centres were set up at Khairatabad and Balapur, providing aerial and ground access to ICCC. The AI system supported crowd and queue management, facial recognition for chain and mobile snatchers, and flow analytics to prevent stampedes.
Hussain said the firm had been allowed to establish its AI command infrastructure at ICCC and would continue as the police’s crowd management vendor. He added that discussions were underway with the government to extend the technology to the education sector.
Police officers said the platform improved situational awareness, accelerated response times and enhanced public safety through multi‑camera tracking, drone surveillance and watchlist alerts.
