Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stuns at Paris Fashion Week in a black velvet gown with a cape

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a striking appearance at Paris Fashion Week on Monday night, turning heads with a dramatic couture ensemble and a bold new hair colour. The actor walked the runway at Place Joffre, with the Eiffel Tower and École Militaire providing a spectacular backdrop for the fashion showcase.

For the event, titled ‘Express Your Worth’, Aishwarya stepped out in a custom black creation from Syrian luxury label Yara Shoemaker’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 couture collection. The look was conceptualised and styled by celebrity stylist Mohit Rai.

The ensemble featured a sculpted, corset-inspired bodice with a plunging neckline and a fitted silhouette that accentuated Aishwarya’s figure. The gown extended into a floor-length fishtail hem, giving the overall look a regal finish.

Adding another layer of glamour was a sheer velvet cape that flowed over the gown. The cape featured intricate pearl and crystal embellishments along its borders, and the back of the cape was adorned with similar embellishments, while its sheer fabric added a delicate, see-through effect to the look.

The stylist completed the look with statement accessories, including a dazzling diamond-encrusted crown, diamond rings and matching pumps. The jewel-encrusted headpiece further enriched the ensemble as Aishwarya walked the runway.

However, it was Aishwarya’s hair transformation that became one of the biggest talking points of her appearance. The actor debuted fiery red tresses for the Paris fashion showcase. Styled with a deep side parting and soft waves, the new colour added a contemporary edge to her look.

For her beauty look, Aish’s bold red lips complemented her new hair colour and brought the entire look together.
