The US squad has looked sluggish to start this crucial game at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, conceding an early goal against Belgium after a defensive mishap.
Then Team USA’s fortunes changed after Malik Tillman scored his second free kick goal in the 30th minute, which tied the game 1-1. But Belgium responded right away with another goal, giving with a 2-1 lead.
Many celebrities and sports icons are surely at Monday’s game against Belgium, given how important it is for the United States. And one of these is legendary USA women’s soccer star Alex Morgan, who was shown on screen just a few minutes into the game starting.
Morgan was seen wearing a red, white, and blue striped jacket while sitting in a suite behind the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.
Morgan was also present at the Round of 32 matchup between the United States and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which resulted in a 2-0 win for Team USA. Perhaps Morgan can act as a good luck charm for her home country.
Morgan is 37 years old and officially retired from professional soccer in September of 2024, during her club season with the San Diego Wave FC. She’s currently pregnant with her third child with her husband, Servando Carrasco.
Team USA could use a prime version of Morgan (who is a two-time World Cup champion) on the field against Belgium right now.
