Alia Bhatt dances to Shah Rukh Khans Maahi Ve at Akansha Ranjan Kapoors pre-wedding celebration

Alia Bhatt stepped into bridesmaid mode as she joined the pre-wedding festivities of her best friend, actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. Akansha is all set to tie the knot with filmmaker Sharan Sharma and videos and photos from the celebrations have been making the rounds on social media.
One of the clips shows Alia setting the dance floor ablaze as she performs to Shah Rukh Khan’s Maahi Ve from the film Kal Ho Naa Ho. She is joined by the bride-to-be’s sister, Anushka Ranjan Kapoor, and brother-in-law, Aditya Seal. Dressed in a stunning purple saree, Alia looked every bit the perfect bridesmaid as she cheered on her close friend.

Several celebrities were also in attendance at the celebrations, including Janhvi Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Shaheen Bhatt, Disha Patani and Krishna Shroff.

Akansha and Sharan have reportedly been in a relationship for nearly four years before deciding to tie the knot. Sharan made his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and later helmed Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. Before turning director, he worked as an assistant director and creative director on films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Akansha

Akansha made her acting debut with Netflix’s Guilty, which also starred Kiara Advani and Gurfateh Pirzada.

She later appeared in Monica, O My Darling. More recently, she was seen as Dr. Gargi in TVF’s Gram Chikitsalay.

Alia and Akansha have been close friends since their school days and have remained inseparable over the years. From celebrating birthdays and holidays together to cheering each other on through personal and professional milestones, the duo often gives fans a glimpse into their long-standing friendship through social media, making Alia’s presence at the wedding festivities especially heartwarming.
