Alia Bhatt, who is currently awaiting the release of her troubled project Alpha, has finally said Yes to another project – she will be making a guest appearance in Tumbbad 2.
She will be sharing screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the first time—a factor that incentivised her to give her nod at this point in her career when she’s only considering author-backed roles in A-l projects.
And the other, more immediate incentive was the remuneration. Alia is reportedly being paid a whopping `5 crore for 5-6 days of work.
“The role has been written specially for Alia. Her character didn’t exist in the original script. She is playing a unique character. It was meant to be just a day’s work initially, but has now been increased to add box office value to the project,” says an informed source.
Tumbbad 2, also starring Sohum Shah and directed by Adesh Prasad, will be Alia Bhatt’s next release after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
