While her look from the festival’s opening ceremony on May 12, 2026, had already become the talk of the town, it seems like she outdid herself when she attended the India Pavilion, gracefully bringing modern Indian glamour onto one of the most fashionable nights of the year.

For her appearance at the India Pavilion in Cannes 2026, Alia Bhatt chose to continue with her elegant fashion streak. The actress was seen wearing a custom ivory Tarun Tahini ensemble. What stood out the most about her look is that it blended traditional craftsmanship with contemporary couture.

Against the Riviera backdrop, Alia’s look felt regal, soft, and effortlessly sophisticated. For those who haven’t seen Alia’s outfit yet, it featured a custom draped ivory chanderi dhoti skirt paired with a beautifully sculpted corset top, which showed off her figure. The gown was a perfect blend of structured couture elements with classic Indian draping. This gave her overall look a modern goddess-like vibe. 

The entire ivory colour palette that Alia went for screamed understated elegance, with the delicate embroidery and intricate detailing elevating the richness of the gown. With the layered drape around her waist, designer, Tarun Tahini added dimension and movement, and with the corset top, he incorporated shape and refinement, all into one look. Coming to Alia’s accessories, she wore carefully curated jewellery pieces that paired seamlessly with her gown. Along with statement earrings by Sunita Kapoor, she wore a delicate haatphool from Tangerine, adding to the outfit’s desi vibe.

Additionally, Alia also wore a nath and ear clips from Ishhaara. This combination of accessories brought in a touch of classic Indian bridal-inspired elegance to the otherwise contemporary silhouette. That’s not all, a closer look shows that Alia also wore a payal Tarun Tahiliani to complete the styling. Keeping with the ongoing theme these days, Alia chose luminous and minimal makeup. Her skin looked glowy, her eyes were softly defined, and she had nude pink lips and feathered brows. Meanwhile, she kept her hair open and a little wavy, with a centre parting to frame her face effortlessly.
