HYDERABAD: The State Gallery of Art, Madhapur, opened the 7th edition of the All India Art Competition and Exhibition 2026, bringing together 249 shortlisted artworks from across the country after a two stage jury process selecting them from 833 entries.
The exhibition that began on May 23, will remain open to visitors until June 2 at the State Gallery of Art in Hyderabad.
The organisers announced a prize pool that includes a cash award of Rs 1 lakh for the first position, three second prizes of Rs 50,000 each, and 20 third prizes carrying Rs 20,000 each. Apart from the cash awards, 11 sponsorship awards and 7 special awards will also be presented.
The exhibition features artworks, spanning multiple styles and mediums, offering a snapshot of contemporary artistic practices from different parts of India. The annual event has emerged as one of the larger open platform art showcases hosted by the gallery, drawing participation from both emerging and established artists.
