The area has seen a huge rise in visitors keen to see the locations featured in Jeremy Clarkson’s hit series, Clarkson’s Farm – which returns to screens in June

Amanda Holden has opened up about the reality of having a property close to Jeremy Clarkson‘s thriving farm. Ever since Clarkson’s Farm debuted in 2021, the surrounding area has experienced a dramatic increase in tourists eager to visit the sites shown in the series.

With a fifth series now given the green light, the 55-year-old shared how significantly the landscape has shifted due to his rising fame.

Amanda is among numerous notable figures residing in the locality, alongside personalities like Simon Cowell, who similarly has a home in the vicinity.

Speaking on Heart Radio’s Breakfast Show, the Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed that while she enjoys the programme, she’s less enthusiastic about the long queues in the surrounding areas.

“We don’t love the queues in the Cotswolds, but we love it [the show],” she remarked. “I’ve got a house up there that’s really close and I went to his farm, very early on. I haven’t been back since, only because the queues are so big.”

Amanda playfully suggested how she might be able to avoid the queues, commenting: “I could probably just walk across the field to be honest, unless he might think I’m trespassing. ‘Get off my land!’ No, I should go and have a look because everything has change, they’ve got a whole new situation going on there.”

The ex-Top Gear presenter purchased his 1,000-acre farm close to Chipping Norton in West Oxfordshire back in 2008, though he only assumed hands-on management in recent years. Since then, viewers have watched him adjust to farming life, supported by his crew including Kaleb Cooper.

In the forthcoming series, Jeremy will reunite with his farmhand, who was missing from the initial episodes of the last season.

Offering a glimpse of what’s to come, Prime Video revealed: “Clarkson’s Farm is back, and amid a government budget that sends the UK farming community into uproar, Jeremy decides some big changes are needed to make the farm run more smoothly.

“But while the farm tries to go high-tech, resulting in Kaleb’s first ever trip abroad, bigger developments are heading for Diddly Squat that will prove an even greater challenge.”

Preview photographs from the new series reveal Jeremy, Kaleb and his long-term partner Lisa Hogan returning to work on the farm.

Since then, it’s been announced that Lisa will present ITV’s forthcoming dating programme Farming for Love, an updated take on the Farmer Wants a Wife concept.

Discussing the programme on This Morning, she commented: “Farming is a way of life that requires resilience, patience, and the same can be said for relationships.

“What I love about Farming for Love is how real it is, there is no hiding on a farm, and that’s what makes it such an honest way for people to get to know each other. It has had success around the world, and I am really looking forward to leading this flock in their search for romance.”
