Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer Chand Mera Dil is slated to hit the theatres on May 22, 2026. Ahead of its release, a new report states that the movie has passed its certification process. It has received U/A 16+ certificate, but the makers have been urged to make a major edit.
Bollywood Hungama has reported that Chand Mera Dil needs to make two modifications, as per CBFC. A kissing scene, approximately 10 seconds long, has been asked to be removed from the final film. Instead of it, appropriate visuals of Ananya and Lakshya must be used. Another lip-locking scene of approximately 1 minute and 36 seconds should also be removed. Moreover, the makers have been asked to show consent letters from the child artistes in the movie.
The censor certificate was handed over by the CBFC on May 8, 2026. The movie’s runtime stands at 135.36 minutes after the final edits made, which means it is 2 hours, 15 minutes and 36 seconds long.
There were also reports of Dharma Productions asking theatres to sell the movie’s tickets at an affordable price. The main report states, “Chand Mera Dil is produced by Dharma Productions, and they are also distributing the film. They have informed cinemas that the tickets need to be sold at a very affordable price. Accordingly, tickets for all shows before 5:00 pm on Friday, May 22, will be available for just Rs 149. After 5:00 pm, the tickets will be sold for Rs 199. This offer will be valid only on the day of release. Also, tickets priced at Rs. 149 and Rs. 199 will be available only for regular seats.”
Chand Mera Dil is directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Marijke Desouza under Dharma Productions.
