The oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected executive committee members of the Telugu Film & TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association (TFTDDA) for the 2025–2027 term was held in grand style in Hyderabad. The event was conducted under the leadership of association president Sumalatha Devi and was attended by union leaders, dancers, dance directors, and a large number of members.
The newly elected executive committee members, who emerged victorious in the recent by-elections, formally assumed their responsibilities and took their oath during the ceremony. President Sumalatha Devi and other union members congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers and wished them success in their new responsibilities.
Speaking on the occasion, association president Sumalatha Devi said that the new executive committee was formed in accordance with the association’s by-laws. She appealed to all union members to extend their cooperation and support to the new team.
General secretary G. Balakrishna clarified that reports claiming the association opposed actor Chiranjeevi were untrue. He expressed gratitude to Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan for providing financial assistance to the association for health insurance. He said the association would remain indebted to them for their support and added that the welfare of members would be its top priority. He also said efforts would be made to provide health insurance coverage to every member.

The gathering also specially remembered the contributions of the founders who laid the foundation for the development of TFTDDA. Members recalled the services and guidance provided by founder president Mukkuraju Master, founder general secretary Somaraju and founder treasurer L. Venkateswara Rao.
Popular choreographer Shaik Jani Basha congratulated the new executive committee and said that the association had moved forward with fresh elections after putting the issues of the past behind them. He said that although he had left the union midway, he had eventually returned and called for everyone to work together from now on. He urged producers, the Film Chamber and all sections of the film industry to work together with the dancers’ association and support the welfare of dance artistes.
People Media Factory head and producer T.G. Vishwa Prasad said that his production house was making payments directly to artistes instead of routing them through middlemen. He assured that his production company would provide direct opportunities to Telugu dancers.
Actor Tagubothu Ramesh also congratulated the newly elected executive committee and expressed his hope that the new team would work collectively for the welfare of union members.
Representatives said that TFTDDA has been continuously working for the welfare of dance artistes and dance directors associated with the Telugu film and television industries. They said the new executive committee would focus on resolving members’ issues, protecting their rights and implementing welfare initiatives.
The new office-bearers resolved to work collectively to secure greater recognition for the contribution of dance artistes in the Telugu film and television industries while addressing their concerns, safeguarding their rights and improving their welfare.
The oath-taking ceremony reinvigorated the association. TFTDDA members, film industry personalities, and artistes participated enthusiastically, making the event a success.
