Andy Dalton has found a new home.

Following his release by the Eagles on Oct. 9, Dalton is now signing with the Falcons, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

In a corresponding move, the Falcons are releasing Cooper Rush, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

PFT reported on Sunday that the Eagles offered Dalton a new contract, but he declined and chose to sign elsewhere instead. Dalton was traded to Philadelphia from Carolina in March and appeared in one game for the Eagles.

He came in while Jalen Hurts was being checked for a concussion in a 27-7 loss to the Bears on Sept. 28 and he threw an interception in his one pass attempt.

The Eagles cut him soon after, but with Hurts now out for the season with blood clots, they were looking to bring him back. The Eagles turned to Tanner McKee in their loss to the Panthers on Sunday.

Instead, Dalton will head to Atlanta, whhich has already seen action from four different quarterbacks this season after injury issues with Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.

Rush started the first two games of the season as Penix continued rehab from a torn ACL suffered last season and Tagovailoa dealt with an oblique issue. In those two games, the Falcons scored a total of 16 points, the worst in the league.

Penix exited the Falcons’ Week 5 overtime loss to the Ravens with a rib issue, but was able to play Sunday against the Bears, a game in which he was sacked five times but assured postgame his ribs were not a concern.

Should injury worries continue to arise in Atlanta, fans could be seeing Dalton take the field sooner rather than later.
