Speculation is gathering pace that Kollywood’s star music composer Anirudh Ravichander could once again join hands with Jr NTR, this time for the actor’s much-talked-about mythological action drama, tentatively titled God of War. While there has been no official confirmation from the makers, industry buzz suggests that Anirudh is the frontrunner to compose the film’s soundtrack.
Anirudh had earlier worked with Jr NTR on Devara, and their collaboration was widely appreciated, especially for its energetic soundtrack and powerful background score. If the latest reports turn out to be true, God of War will mark the second collaboration between the actor and the composer.
Speaking during the promotions of Devara last year, Anirudh had described Jr NTR as one of his closest friends in the industry.
“We were planning to work together for quite some time, but Devara finally made it happen. NTR is one of my best buddies from Hyderabad. His fans were constantly asking him on social media to collaborate with me, and that made me happy. I have done a few Telugu films before, but Devara was special because of its unique concept and, of course, my friendship with Tarak,” Anirudh had said.
The composer has emerged as one of the most sought-after musicians in Indian cinema, delivering chartbuster albums and memorable background scores for films such as Leo and Jailer. His work in Devara also received a positive response, with the film’s background score earning praise from both fans and critics.
With God of War shaping up as one of Jr NTR’s most ambitious projects, fans are now waiting to see whether Anirudh will officially reunite with the actor for another high-voltage musical outing
