‘Annie Guthrie And Her Husband’s Home Was Crime Scene’, Investigator’s Big Claim In Nancy Kidnapping

Nancy Guthrie’s sudden disappearance overnight has left the Guthrie family extremely heartbroken. After two months putting their lives on hold, Savannah Guthrie resumed her work as the host of The Today Show. But her hope of finding the truth and reuniting with her mother is high despite what the world might think. 

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since February 1, 2026. The authorities believe that she was forcefully taken from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson, Arizona, on the night of January 31, 2026. With three months of continuous search, the authorities are still no closer to naming a suspect in public.

Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni’s home was a crime scene 

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office is leading the matter, and the FBI is assisting them in the investigation. Amidst the intensive search to find Nancy, all eyes are back on Nancy Guthrie’s elder daughter, Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni. Amidst it, a self-styled investigator, Jonathan Lee Riches, claimed that Annie and Tommaso’s house was a crime scene. 

In a post on X, Jonathan revealed that it was Nancy’s elder daughter, Annie’s home, which was a crime scene. However, the sheriff won’t release any information about the home in public records due to the ongoing investigation. He wrote:

“Annie & Tommaso’s home was a crime scene. Pima County Sheriff’s Office won’t release any info about that home via public records request due to an active investigation. Where is Nancy Guthrie?”

Nancy Guthrie’s elder daughter, Annie, has asked for a loan?

It is worth mentioning that Jonathan has been covering Nancy’s disappearance case on the ground in Tucson. He has made several revelations and claims in the case. He was the one who stated that Annie had asked her mother for a loan sometime before her disappearance. He even claimed that this fact was revealed to him by one of the close family members of the Guthries. However, he didn’t share more about the revelation.

Meanwhile, Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, has cleared the names of all Guthrie family members who were under public radar after the disappearance of Nancy. He clearly stated that they are not suspects in the ongoing investigation. It is worth mentioning that Annie and her husband, Tommaso, made it to the headlines after NewsNation journalist, Ashleigh Banfield reported that he is one of the suspects in the case. But the police quashed the rumours. Despite this, they continue to be on the radar of the self-investigators and the internet. Also, due to the fact that Nancy had dinner with her daughter before her disappearance. As per reports, it was her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, who had dropped her off after dinner, becoming one of the last people to see Nancy before she went missing.

The 84-year-old author, Nancy Guthrie, was last seen on January 31, 2026, after her elder daughter dropped her off at home in Tucson. However, suspicion was raised when she missed a church service the next day, after which a search was launched to find her. Investigators were sure that Nancy was kidnapped in the night, as the surveillance footage had a masked man at her front door. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared that the investigators know the motive behind the kidnapping, and they believe it was a targeted one. They had that since day one; they had strong beliefs about what might have gone wrong, and those beliefs have not diminished so far.
