Annie Kilner and her husband, Kyle Walker, have revealed the first picture of their daughter. The Burnley FC ace and model Annie welcomed their first daughter last month.
At the time, they told fans that their “precious baby girl” had arrived in a short Instagram Stories statement. But today, the childhood sweethearts shared the first picture of their daughter, in view of her 81,000 followers on the Meta platform.
In the new black and white snap shared online, Annie cradled her newborn daughter. Writing alongside it, she shared “worth the wait” alongside a pink heart emoji and a star emoji.
In a statement last month, Sheffield-born Annie said: “Our precious baby girl is here safe. Speechless with the amount of love we all feel and the joy she’s already brought to our family.
“Would have liked to enjoy our private family time together for a bit longer, but we know news travels fast. Hoping now we have announced our special news, everyone respects our request for privacy as we enjoy these special moments. Thank you for everyone who has supported us with well wishes for the pregnancy and birth.”
Prior to their public announcement, a source told The Sun that the pair had welcomed their new arrival: “Kyle and Annie are over the over the moon to have welcomed a little girl into the family home. Kyle didn’t leave Annie’s side, they are just on cloud nine ready to begin this new chapter.”
The couple, who first met as teenagers in their hometown, are said to have shared news of the pregnancy with their families over Christmas. Alongside their newborn, Annie and Kyle are already parents to Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and Rezon, one.
Kyle is now a father of seven children. Former model Annie announced back in February that she and Kyle were expecting a girl – their first daughter together.
In a defiant social media post, she wrote: “We’re delighted to be expecting our baby girl. I won’t be entertaining any speculation or drama around such a personal, private and happy moment for me and my family!”
The news of Annie and Kyle having a daughter is said to have brought the pair closer than ever. Prior to the couple welcoming their daughter, a source said: “Annie is a devoted mum, and she is so excited to be bringing another child into the world. For her and Kyle, this baby feels very much like it was meant to be. They’ve never been closer, and they are so excited for their family to grow.”
Last year, reports emerged suggesting Annie was pursuing a divorce from Kyle due to infidelities, but the Mirror subsequently confirmed this wasn’t accurate. Sources close to the couple in Cheshire dismissed any suggestion that Annie was remaining with Kyle for financial reasons as “nonsense.”
Claims surfaced that Annie was putting ongoing proceedings on hold amid discussions about Kyle’s potential move to Saudi Arabia, where he could have earned upwards of £400,000 weekly. Instead, Kyle joined Burnley – on the opposite side of the globe from where he’d reportedly been considering a transfer.
