The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority alerted about the likelihood of upper-air circulation at North Andaman which could lead to another low-depression. Under the impact, the SDMA officials sounded an alert that heavy rains are likely to occur in coastal Andhra region. Heavy rains accompanied with gusty winds with a speed of 40-50 km per hour are likely to hit the area. People in low-lying areas have been alerted to take precautions. At the same time, fishermen going into the sea are also advised to return to the shore.

It is likely that the low-depression would travel west-north west direction and strengthen as a depression in Bay of Bengal on Monday and deep depression on Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, it would travel in the west-north west direction and reach South Odisha-North Andhra shore and strengthen at north west Bay of Bengal, officials said.
