VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed district collectors to accord top priority to public satisfaction while delivering government services and welfare schemes.

Addressing the seventh Collectors’ Conference at the Secretariat in Amaravati, he asked them to adopt innovative and technology-driven administrative practices. He expressed confidence that this will help them achieve more than 90 per cent public satisfaction in all government services.

Naidu asked collectors of all 28 districts, including the two newly formed ones, to transform their respective districts into innovation hubs and compete with one another in development and implementation of welfare programmes.

He stressed the importance of field visits by collectors, secretaries, and heads of departments, saying that direct interaction with people would help officials understand public feedback and improve governance.

“Seeing is believing,” he remarked, asking officials to focus on outcomes instead of routine file movements.

The CM dedicated the recently received “Business Reformer of the Year” award by the state to the entire administrative machinery, from the state level to the village level. He described the award as a collective achievement of the AP team.

Naidu said the coalition government had earned trust at both national and international levels by introducing 28 progressive policies, resulting in massive investments into the state. According to him, 17 SIPB meetings in the past 23 months have approved investments worth ₹23 lakh crore with a potential to employ 24 lakh people.

Highlighting the state’s industrial growth, the Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh is emerging as a leader in green energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia sectors. He pointed out that Visakhapatnam is becoming a technology hub with the proposed Google Data Centre, while Amaravati is developing into a Quantum Valley.

Naidu instructed officials to complete finalisation of revenue records by March 2027 with “zero error” to strengthen public confidence in the system. He announced that ministers and collectors will be rated based on their performance. He emphasised that the best-performing collectors would serve as mentors for others.

The CM said the government has reduced power purchase costs by 30 paise and is working to bring them down further, making “true-down” benefits possible for consumers for the first time.

Naidu later reviewed the coalition government’s achievements over the past 23 months, including implementation of over 100 schemes and Super Six promises.
