Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing to release a fresh DSC (District Selection Committee) notification, giving job aspirants a much-awaited update ahead of the festive season. According to reports, the notification is scheduled for release on October 15, 2026, as part of the AP Job Calendar covering Phase IV of recruitments, and is expected to cover around 2,535 teacher vacancies.
The School Education Department has reportedly completed the process of collecting vacancy details from schools across the state, and preliminary proposals on the number of posts required have already been prepared by officials.
The posts are spread across categories including School Assistants (SA), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Physical Education Teachers (PET), and Principal posts. This year’s recruitment drive isn’t limited to teaching posts alone. Reports suggest that notifications for positions in the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and for Librarian posts will also be released alongside the main DSC notification in municipalities, mandals, district councils and government schools. The government is yet to take a final decision on this number.
Apart from DSC posts, there will be 160 posts of DIET and SCERT lecturers, 209 junior lecturers and around 100 librarians. These will be filled through APPSC. Since the government has decided to issue DSC notifications every year, the School Education Department has prepared a preliminary list of jobs to be filled every year till 2029. It has prepared a plan to fill 70% of the total vacancies through promotions and the remaining 30% through direct recruitment. The list of vacancies has been prepared for 2026 as well as 2027, 2028, and 2029.
