Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department received the SKOCH Silver Award for its Media Accreditation Management System at the 109th SKOCH Summit held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Saturday.
The Media Accreditation Management System has received recognition under the governance category for its transparent, rule-based process for issuing media accreditations. Significantly, the accreditation process is online, enabling journalists to submit applications digitally and facilitating quicker scrutiny through technology.
Joint director I. Suryachandra Rao and RIE Dr. Naga Raja received the award on behalf of I&PR director K.S. Viswanathan.
The department said the system, developed under the guidance of Viswanathan, has ensured that eligible journalists received accreditations without delays, recommendations, or outside interference.
The AP Digital Corporation, functioning under the I&PR Department, received the SKOCH Gold Award for its “Digital and Social Media Marketing of Amaravati Quantum Valley” initiative. Digital Corporation executive director Rani Sushmita and special officer Seshu Kumar received the award.
I&PR director Viswanathan said the SKOCH awards are a recognition of the collective efforts of the I&PR team in making the accreditation and digital initiatives more transparent and efficient. He congratulated the officials and staff of the AP Digital Corporation on receiving the SKOCH Gold Award.
