Chittoor: The Andhra Pradesh police on Wednesday arrested Srihari Pudi, general secretary of the media wing of YSRCP, again after his bail order was suspended by the AP High Court. According to police, Pudi was taken into custody again in connection with a case registered against him earlier over a social media post allegedly targeting CM Chandrababu Naidu, following due legal procedure.
“His bail order by the Kuppam Court has been suspended by the High Court, and we have taken him into custody again as per legal procedures,” Kuppam DSP B Parthasarathi said.
Earlier, Pudi was detained over an alleged social media post against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and was shifted to Kuppam in Chittoor district, where the case was registered. He was subsequently produced before a local court in connection with the case, police noted.
Pudi had earlier served as Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his tenure as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh between 2019 and 2024.
