According to the police, the accident took place when Ameen and a friend were travelling in his car towards Guindy in the wee hours of Monday, around 3.30 AM. When their car approached the Tech Park signal, a cab reportedly arrived on the main road from a by-lane, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. Soon after the accident, Ameen and his friend were taken to Kauvery Hospital. Luckily, the two escaped with minor injuries.

According to the police, their injuries were not serious. Both underwent medical examinations and received first-aid treatment. They were subsequently discharged and returned home. The news has certainly brought a lot of relief to fans and well-wishers, given the risks associated with such late-night collisions.

The passenger travelling in the cab also sustained injuries in the accident. He was rushed to Kalaignar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital for treatment. After receiving medical attention, he was also discharged. However, both vehicles reportedly suffered damage in the collision. The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing (TIW) is investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
