Well, Janhvi’s father, Boney Kapoor, has now revealed the real truth.

If you are a die-hard fan of Janhvi Kapoor, you might already be aware of the rumours which suggest that the actress is planning to tie the knot with businessman, Shikhar Pahariya. According to the rumours, the duo will possibly get married at the end of 2026, somewhere between September and October. A few social media reports have even claimed that Janhvi and Shikhar would have a traditional wedding in Jamnagar. As the rumours continued to spread across social media and various entertainment portals, it has not only left fans excited but also made them wonder if there is any truth to those rumours. 

Well, Janhvi Kapoor’s father, Boney Kapoor, took it upon himself to reveal the truth. During a recent interview with ETimes, Boney shut down the rumours and clarified, “No, this is not true,” firmly putting an end to the wedding buzz, at least for now. 

It is worth noting that while Janhvi did not say anything to confirm her relationship with Shikhar, she did subtly hint at it when she wore a customised necklace. For those unaware, the necklace in question spelt ‘Shiku,’ which, as you can guess, is a nickname for Shikhar. The actress reportedly wore the necklace during the screening of the movie, Maidaan, in 2024. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to catch on to her gesture, realising that it was her way of acknowledging the relationship. 

When a paparazzi post suggested that Janhvi Kapoor was planning a wedding at the Tirupati Balaji Temple 

For those unaware, this is not the first time that Janhvi Kapoor sparked wedding rumours. Previously, a paparazzi post suggested that the Ulajh actress was planning a wedding at the Tirupati Balaji Temple. This led Janhvi to take to the comment section and clarify the rumour by writing, “Kuch Bhi.” Following this, her remarks quickly went viral. However, it is worth mentioning that Janhvi has been pretty vocal about wanting to have a simple wedding at her favourite religious place. When the time comes, she wants to wear a Kanjeevaram saree while her husband wears a lungi. Additionally, she also wants the food at her wedding to be served on banana leaves, as per Pinkvilla. 

About Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya’s relationship 

The rumours related to Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya’s relationship first surfaced almost a decade ago, in 2016. However, neither of them at the time confirmed or denied the rumours. Based on reports, the duo briefly went their separate ways when Janhvi made her Bollywood debut in 2018. According to News 18, this was something that the actress hinted at during her appearance on Koffee with Karan.

Apparently, the pair rekindled their romance a few years ago, in 2022, and have been inseparable ever since, often appearing in public together. Furthermore, Shikhar also supposedly has a close relationship with Janhvi’s family, as evidenced by his frequent appearances at their gatherings and celebrations.
