After rumours about Ariana Grande’s drastic weight loss made headlines, a new report claims that she and Ethan Slater have ended their relationship. The news comes three years after the duo began dating. In fact, Ariana is presently on her first major music tour in seven years, the Eternal Sunshine Tour. At the same time, the report revealed that the split occurred months ago but only came to public attention now.

According to TMZ, sources close to the former couple revealed that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater had quietly parted several months ago. They did not decide in haste; they considered carefully before reaching their conclusion. But, unlike many other celebrity breakups, there is no controversy behind the split. Instead, the duo are reportedly on good terms and continues to support each other as friends. Some insiders told the outlet that the breakup was amicable and free of major conflict. At the same time, they have put the rumours about Ariana’s new album at rest and clarified that the split does not inspire it. 

Even her upcoming work is not based on her relationship with Ethan. The separation update comes after fans noticed that Ethan was absent from Ariana’s Eternal Sunshine Tour. It has recently started in Oakland, California. Although neither Ariana nor Ethan has publicly commented on the reported breakup, the news has quickly attracted attention from fans who followed their relationship over the past few years. The duo had first met when they worked in the film adaptation of Wicked, where Ariana played ‘Glinda’ and Ethan portrayed ‘Boq’.

The source claimed that Wicked’s hectic promotional schedule, with extensive travel and professional commitments, might have caused her stress and exhaustion. Ariana herself has addressed the public attention to her health and body. In multiple social media posts and interviews, she urged fans to avoid making comments on her physical appearance. In fact, she explained that what many considered her “healthier” look in previous years was when she was living an unhealthy lifestyle amid a difficult phase in life. Ariana also pushed back against claims that Ethan was not caring for her, calling him caring and supportive.

Gradually, in 2023 and 2024, they were often seen together and reportedly grew close. They were regularly seen at public events related to their film and supported each other’s careers. Meanwhile, the former couple is yet to share anything about their breakup.
