Asha Bhosle’s Granddaughter, Zanai Pens Heart-Wrenching Note For Her, ‘I Hold You In My Arms…’

Legendary singer, Asha Bhosle took her last breath on April 12, 2026. According to multiple reports, the 92-year-old iconic singer passed away after suffering cardiac arrest. Earlier, on April 11, 2026, Asha was hospitalised after she suffered cardiac and respiratory issues. Her condition worsened on the morning of April 12, 2026, and according to doctors, the legendary singer suffered multi-organ failure shortly before her passing. While many are still navigating the tragic loss, it is Asha’s beloved granddaughter, Zanai, who is currently overwhelmed and processing the whole thing.

Zanai Bhosle gives a heart-wrenching tribute to her grandmother, Asha Bhosle

A while ago, Zanai Bhosle took to her Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt carousel. In the first snap, Zanai was seen giving a warm hug to the legendary singer, Asha Bhosle and kissing her on her temple. The second picture was all things wholesome. It featured Asha, her son, Anand and her granddaughter, Zanai. The snap was captured at a moment when the trio was singing a song. The last picture featured the iconic singer, Asha, in which she was holding a diya thali.

Along with the snaps, Zanai penned a heart-wrenching note. Zanai mentioned that she has realised Asha taught her how to live life, but she didn’t taught how to live life without her. Zanai stated that she missed her every second, every hour, every minute with every breath she took. She wrote:

“After a lot of reflection, I realise you taught us how to live, but not to live without you. You are missed every second, every hour, every minute with every breath we take, but I also know that you live within me. Till I hold you in my arms again this way.”

A report by Firstpost claimed that Asha Bhosle’s son, Anand Bhosle, managed all her businesses and is the only successor of the legendary singer. Her luxurious assets, include her properties in Mumbai and Pune, as well as her famous international restaurant chain, Asha’s. At the time of her passing, the 92-year-old iconic singer had a whopping net worth of around Rs. 250 crore. Reportedly, Zanai Bhosle, Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, will also inherit her luxurious assets along with Anand Bhosle.

Asha Bhosle and Zanai Bhosle shared a deep connection

In a March 2026 interview with Filmygyan, Zanai Bhosle reflected on her deep connection with her grandmother, Asha Bhosle. While speaking about the following, Zanai became teary-eyed. Zanai highlighted that although she knew life is short and not everybody stays with them forever, she can’t lose Asha. Zanai added that she doesn’t want to share her grandmother with anyone. She was quoted as saying:

“I love my grandmom. Mera unke saath itna deep connection hai ki main unko bas dekhti rehti hu aur kabhi kabhi ro leti hu. Life is short and not everybody is with us at all points. I don’t wanna share her with everyone. I don’t wanna give her to anyone. She is mine. And it is very personal for me.”

Zanai Bhosle was born in 2002 in Mumbai to Anand and Ahuja Bhosle. She has a brother named Ranjay Bhosle. As per reports, Zanai pursued her studies at Institut Le Rosey, Switzerland. Zanai followed Asha’s legacy, and from a young age, she began training under Asha. At the age of 12, Zanai made her singing debut in the 2013 movie, Mai. The film also featured legendary singer, Asha Bhosle. Once in an interview, Asha expressed her wish to train Zanai herself.
