Asifabad: Three children and two women were injured after a portion of the roof collapsed at an Anganwadi centre in Ankusapur-Telliguda village of Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district on Tuesday.
The injured children were identified as Haritha, Satvik and Sai, while Sangeetha and Soni, two women, also sustained minor injuries.
The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment. District Collector K. Haritha visited the hospital and interacted with the injured. She directed the hospital staff to provide the best medical care to them.
The Collector also instructed the concerned authorities to inspect the condition of the Anganwadi building and take necessary action to ensure the safety of the children and staff.
