Last year in May, Simu Liu and Allison announced their engagement through a series of romantic pictures on their social media. The post consisted of cute pictures where Allison could be seen sporting her engagement ring. She captioned it, “Best day of 2025 :’) and the best year ahead (White heart emoji)”
Cut forward to the present, and it has been reported that Simu Liu and Allison Hsu shared their wedding vows in a secret ceremony over a weekend in France on October 5, 2026.
The couple first went public about their relationship four years ago, in November 2022 with their first photo together, accompanied by the caption, “:)”. Since then, they have featured together in multiple events and screenings.
Simu Liu, during an interview last November for his animated film In Your Dreams, spoke on his views of being a family man. Paying homage to his role in the movie, he said, “This movie, and this role in particular, has made me think a lot about how I want to show up as a dad and a parent… I’ve always felt like I was destined to be a dad,”
He further hinted at his future intentions regarding marriage by adding, “I’m very excited about getting married and all the steps along that process… I would be leading from a place of joy, leading from a place of dreams and nurturing. I want to help my future children figure out what their dreams are and to pursue them to the best of their ability. At the end of the day, that’s what life is all about.”
Simu Liu has featured in several notable films including Barbie, What If…, Invincible and Star Wars: Visions Present – The Ninth Jedi. He will also soon be seen reprising his superhero role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, more than five years after first debuting the character in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
We at Filmfare wish the newly married couple the best life ahead.
