Avinash Mishra, Rithvik Dhanjani, and Orry were the Top 3 finalists of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Avinash defeated both Rithvik and Orry to lift this season’s trophy. While all the Top 3 contestants were given a bike, Avinash also won a Rs. 20 lakh cash prize, a trip to Europe, as well as a car.
After his win, Avinash said in a statement that winning Khatron Ke Khiladi felt really special as he proved the point he wanted to prove when he first joined the show. He admitted that for many years people saw him as the good-looking guy on television, but while he enjoyed that, he knew that his fans expected more of him. He said:
“Winning Khatron Ke Khiladi feels special because I thought I signed up for the show with a point to prove, but along the way, the person I ended up proving it to was myself. I have spent years being associated with television and, yes, with being the good-looking guy on screen. I enjoyed that journey, but I also knew there was so much more I wanted people to see in me. This show gave me the chance to put everything else aside and literally let my actions speak.”
Avinash Mishra went on to say that his Khatron Ke Khiladi journey was all about the mind. According to him, even if one prepares themselves physically, there comes a point where it’s just you, your fear, and the decision you make in the moment. He said that after winning Khatron Ke Khiladi this season, he is leaving with a belief in himself that he didn’t have before. He believes that this is his biggest victory. In his words:
“Most of this journey was actually about the mind. You can prepare yourself physically, but when you are standing at the edge of something terrifying, there is no performance left – it is just you, your fear, and the decision you make in that moment. I had to learn to tune out the noise, trust myself, and keep going.”
Avinash said that there were several times when he surprised himself by how he kept pushing forward. He added that winning the show was the kind of outcome he had only hoped for. He shared:
“There were days when I surprised myself, and those are the moments I will cherish. And to win the show after everything I have discovered about myself, here is the kind of ending I could only have hoped for. I came to Khatron Ke Khiladi wanting to test myself; I am leaving with a belief in myself that I didn’t have before. That, for me, is the biggest victory.”
