Some axed favourites from Strictly Come Dancing have reunited at a Bad Bunny concert, after the BBC show majorly shook up their cast by dropping pros and It Takes Two hosts
Strictly Come Dancing stars, including axed favourites, enjoyed a fun-filled reunion as they partied the night away at Bad Bunny’s concert in London this weekend.
Former professionals including Karen Hauer and Gorka Marquez went to the show together and were seen dancing in a VIP box alongside former It Takes Two host Janette Manrara, and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec and Jowita Przystal, who are both still on the show.
Karen, who had been on the show for over a decade before her shock exit earlier this year, posted videos with her former colleagues to Instagram. The dancer first posted a video of herself and her partner Simon Davidson dancing as Bad Bunny performed. The camera then panned around to show Gorka Marquez, who also left Strictly this year, shimmying behind them.
Gorka also posted from the concert. While he did not appear in his own videos, he panned his camera across the box he was in to show the other Strictly stars, including Jowita.
In another clip, Karen and Janette were seen singing along to Debi Tirar Mas Fotos, a track from Bad Bunny’s sixth album of the same name. The two, who are both Latin American, were screaming the Spanish lyrics, while Janette’s husband, Aljaz, could be seen also trying to sing along – though he struggled more with the language.
Janette was also a pro dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, joining the show the year after Karen in 2013. But she left in 2021 to take over presenting Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two following Zoe Ball’s departure. She remained with the show until this year, where both she and her co-host Fleur East were dropped.
Strictly has been undergoing a huge shake up ahead of the 2026 series. The changes to the cast began whilst the 2025 series was still underway, as longtime hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced they were quitting the show. They have since been replaced by former pro dancer Johannes Radebe, Emma Willis and Josh Widdecombe.
Meanwhile, several pro dancers will not return, as well as Karen and Gorka. Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas have also been axed. But unlike the hosts, their replacements have not been announced.
Several other stars were seen at the concert as well, which took place at Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium on 27 and 28 June. These included Maya Jama, who was brought on stage to dance in Bad Bunny’s casita. Previous celebs who have been invited to do that include Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba.
Adele, who is from Tottenham, was also at the concert, with her fiance Rich Paul. The singer wore an England jersey and reportedly asked a fan to borrow their hat.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie was also spotted in the crowd, but she brought her own hat. The actress wore a denim bucket hat as she waved around a green fan. Some stars also took photos from the VIP section, the Hennessy Club, before watching the show, including Munya Chawawa and Ella Eyre.
Bad Bunny’s show was a history-making event. The two-night performance was the first such concert at a UK stadium to be headlined by an artist from Latin America. The Puerto Rican rapper played to roughly 50,000 people on the first night alone. It comes after a great year for Bad Bunny, in which he played the Super Bowl Half Time Show and won a Grammy for album of the year, making his album DtMF the first sung in Spanish to win that award.
