Hyderabad: The anticipatory bail petition filed by Bandi Sai Bageerath, son of Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, in connection with a Pocso Act case, was withdrawn before the Telangana High Court on Thursday as the accused had been taken into police custody. The matter was listed on Thursday under the “withdrawal” category before Justice T. Madhavi Devi on Thursday. The court permitted withdrawal of the petition accordingly. The plea was heard on May 15 and, after completion of arguments, had been reserved for orders to May 21. Before orders could be pronounced, the accused was taken into custody by the police, rendering the petition infructuous. The matter was disposed of as dismissed as withdrawn.
