Barcelona were given a major scare this week after Raphinha picked up an injury against Australia and had to be subbed off at half-time.
It was the worst possible outcome Barcelona would have expected out of this international break, and his half-time substitution led many to think the injury could have been a serious one.

Thankfully, Raphinha’s injury does not seem very serious and the player himself has indicated that there is nothing major, with regards to his fitness. He will, however, miss the upcoming friendly against India.

According to El Chiringuito, there is much anger at Barcelona camp over Carlo Ancelotti and his treatment of Raphinha.
This is hardly surprising as the Italian has not shied away from using Raphinha as much as he can during the course of the international break.

The Barcelona forward played the full ninety minutes in the first friendly against Australia and Ancelotti started him once again in the second friendly.
This is a far cry from the more measured response from Jurgen Klopp when using national team players in this long break, with the German instead calling up a 44-man XXL squad.
Barcelona had another reason to be mad at Ancelotti after the Italian did not even acknowledge Raphinha’s injury even once during the post-match briefing and instead, heaped praise on Vincius Jr.

Nevertheless, Raphinha, for the moment, appears fine and has been able to avoid any major injuries during this international break.
The forward is set to return to the Barcelona camp and will miss the upcoming trip to Kolkata, which could be a blessing in disguise for the Catalans.
Raphinha has been central to Barcelona’s success this season, with the forward racking up 14 goals in all competitions this season.
His presence will be key as the Catalans look to continue their flawless start to the campaign and extend the gap at the top of the league table.
