Barry Keoghan has finally addressed claims he cheated on Sabrina Carpenter. The Irish actor claims that he stepped back from public life in the wake of claims that he cheated on chart topper Sabrina, with a social media influencer.
The pair split in December 2024 after a year of dating one another, with Barry, 33, strongly denying allegations that he cheated. A blind item was sent to a gossip social media forum, claiming that he’d been unfaithful with a “semi-famous” TikTok content creator.
But now, Irish star Barry has finally spoken out, stating that there was no truth to the allegations. “I came off Instagram, social profiles. I stopped going to events, socialising,” he said.
Speaking on Benny Blanco’s Friends Keep Secrets podcast, he went on to add: “It’s because there was a narrative out there that’s not true. I never confirmed or said anything about it, so I just disappeared.”
Co-host, Lil Dicky asked: “Is it something about cheating?” Saltburn star Barry responded: “That I cheated, yeah. I don’t want to ever bring anyone else into it but unfortunately, having a relationship in the public eye, it’s amplified.
“You see the narrative, a girl made a video and then a girl made the same video and said sorry for making that up but no one seem to latch on to that video.”
