Karimnagar: District Collector Chitra Mishra has directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the smooth and grand conduct of Bathukamma celebrations across Karimnagar district.
The Collector instructed officials to ensure basic facilities, including lighting, sanitation and drinking water, in villages, towns and Karimnagar city to prevent inconvenience to the public.
Emphasising safety during Bathukamma immersion, she directed officials to deploy swimmers and medical personnel at immersion points to handle emergencies.
She also instructed the Police, Medical and Health, Municipal, Panchayat Raj and Women Development departments to work in coordination to ensure that the celebrations conclude smoothly and safely.
The Collector further directed officials to complete all necessary arrangements at major immersion points, including the Manair River, Manakondur, Kothapalli, Chintakunta and the Kakatiya Canal, ahead of the celebrations.
