With Brooklyn Beckham continuing to keep his distance, David, Harper and Cruz flew to New York to support Victoria as the fashion designer said a special thank you

The Beckhams put on a united front as Victoria was supported by her family at the launch of her new GAP range.

David, daughter Harper, 14, son Cruz, 21, and his girlfriend Jackie Apost, 30, flew to New York to make sure they were there for her even though Brooklyn, as expected, was nowhere to be seen. She took her mind of those matters by announcing her multi-season collaboration and they threw a party to celebrate.

The 52-year-old has linked-up with the nostalgic high-street giant. Gap opened in Britain in 1987 and closed its last UK store in September 2021, although it currently has four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores, including in Oxford Street, London, Glasgow and the Trafford and Arndale shopping centres in Manchester.

Posh penned in the caption of her Instagram post as she showed off some snaps from her big night: “What an incredible night celebrating the launch of @gap x Victoria Beckham! Thank you to the amazing teams who helped us bring this collaboration to life and to my friends and family for coming to celebrate with us in NYC xx.”

The fashion designer, whoaddressed her ‘challenging’ year in a rare TV interview on Tuesday, told Vogue: “I remember shopping at Gap with my mum when I was really young. It felt so new and so fresh, there was nothing like it in the UK I’m so proud of what we have created together. It really is the perfect marriage of the two brands.”

Victoria and David have been embroiled in a family feud after son Brooklyn shared a scathing social media post criticising the clan. The power couple’s eldest son hasn’t spoken – or acknowledged – his parents since.

During an appearance on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, former Spice Girl Victoria shared a telling statement. Talking to the hosts, she said: “We always put our children first. We love our children so much and have always really focused on protecting our children, but we laugh a lot. David Beckham is really, super funny.”

Speaking of dealing with tough times as a group, Victoria went on: “You know, myself and David, we’re so close and we have incredible people around us. We’re close to my parents and David’s parents. We support each other through everything that we do. We’ve grown together. And that’s where I feel so blessed.

“We really have grown together. We support each other. We’ve both got big dreams. We’re both very, very ambitious and we support each other. I want him to be the best version of himself and that’s what he wants for me.”

In a blunt comment, Victoria revealed she is less interested in what people think of her as she gets older. “You genuinely care less about what people think,” she said.

“You accept who you are, you embrace who you are. You make the best of what you’ve got. You look in the mirror and you go, ‘OK,’ you look at what’s OK versus focusing on what you don’t like.”

In his outburst, Brooklyn took aim at his mum’s actions. His savage retort read: “”I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.

“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
