Priyadarshan directed and Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla is currently seeing a decent growth at the Box Office. As per Sacnilk’s estimates, it has collected around Rs 19 crores across 11,513 shows. This brings the movie’s total net collection to Rs 35 crores.
The film has collected Rs 9 crores overseas on its second day, bringing the overseas total to Rs 18.50 crores. The worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 60.50 crores.
The Hindi version of Bhooth Bangla saw an overall occupancy of 33.87 percent. The morning shows saw an occupancy of 13.85 perfect, followed by the afternoon shows at 32.77 percent. The evening shows stood at 38.46 percent while the night shows were at 50.38 percent.
Delhi had 1,165 shows, followed by Mumbai with 798 shows. Ahmedabad had 616 while Pune stood with 369 shows.
In terms of overall scale, Bhooth Bangla has also registered a wider opening, with overall estimates pegged at around Rs 21 crore. This places it among Akshay Kumar’s stronger post-pandemic openings and signals steady audience interest in the horror-comedy genre. While the opening was solid, it fell slightly short of blockbuster territory, especially when compared to recent big-ticket releases dominating the box office.

Our reviewer gave the movie 3 stars. We mentioned, “The film offers fleeting glimpses of Priyadarshan’s once-formidable craft. At his peak, he delivered Malayalam classics like Boeing Boeing (1985) and Chithram (1988), while his Hindi films like Hera Pheri (2000) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) have achieved cult status. The hallmark of those works was their tightly constructed screenplays. Sadly, that crucial element is missing here.”
