One half of the set is a full sleeve coat made with handwoven Banarasi Jamawar fabric with paisley and floral motifs woven across its surface in shades of green and rust. Princess seams run through the silhouette, lending an hourglass shape structure to the coat. Voluminous harrem pants make up the bottom of the outfit tapering at the ankles with borders featuring intricate mukesh and resham work. The Pakistani designer recently showcased a collection for his pret line Jeevan at Paris Fashion Week, propping up South Asian artistry on a global stage.

Stylist Nidhi Jeswani accessorised the look with statement earrings from Tribe Amrapali and towering heels from Aquazzura. A bronzy complexion with metallic eye shadow headlined the beauty look while the hair was pulled back into a clean bun with a side part.

From Vogue‘s fashion desk:

“For those seeking contemporary wedding wear inspiration for a guest, this look is it. Give the fusion silhouettes a pass and turn to a button-down or a bandhgala jacket with a skirt or pants” says Ashwini Arun Kumar, Vogue India fashion features editor.
