Jim Carrey is a married man again. The 64-year-old actor exchanged vows with longtime girlfriend Min Ah in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles on September 30, a spokesperson confirmed. Neither the actor nor Min Ah had announced an engagement beforehand, keeping even this milestone as low-key as the rest of their relationship.
This marks Carrey’s third marriage. He was previously married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995, and briefly to Lauren Holly in 1996, a union that lasted just eight months.
Carrey and Min Ah, 32, have reportedly been together since 2022, though details about their relationship have stayed largely under wraps over the years. Their first public appearance as a couple came only seven months before the wedding, at the 51st César Awards in Paris this February, where Carrey accepted an honorary award and delivered his acceptance speech entirely in French. He used the moment to acknowledge her warmly. “Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah,” he said, as the crowd broke into applause.
Reports suggest the Los Angeles ceremony stayed true to that same low-profile approach, attended by close family, including daughter Jane and grandson Jackson. Min Ah is said to have worn a strapless black gown, with Carrey in a classic tuxedo.
What makes the timing notable is Carrey’s own past comments on marriage. Back in 2014, he’d spoken about not seeing himself walking down the aisle again after two previous marriages. Clearly, Min Ah changed that equation.
For an actor who’s always kept his personal life fiercely private, this latest chapter fits the pattern, quiet, understated, and shared with the world only once it was already done.
