Andy Carroll may have called their marriage a ‘car crash’, but his ex Billi Mucklow is certainly an incredible mum and she still has a super-tight relationship with her two stepchildren.
Billi shares sons Arlo and Wolf and daughter Marvel Mae with footballer Andy and was also step-mum to his kids Emilie Rose, 17, and Lucas, 15 from his past relationship. The TOWIE star helped raise them with the former England striker during their turbulent 11-year romance, which came to an end back in 2024.
In his new book, Owning It, Andy claimed the final straw for their marriage was when Billi, 38, agreed to move to France with him as he continued his footballing career, but “reneged on the deal”. He said he was left feeling “depressed” when she decided to stay in England – but she clearly had her reasons.
Despite her split with Andy, Billi’s bond with his teenage daughter Emilie Rose is particularly clear with the pair still really close. Her step-children are a constant feature on her social media accounts, and she posts to mark major milestones, like prom nights and first driving lessons.
She also shared a clip of Emilie Rose and Marvel, who appear to share the same birthday, opening their presents. She wrote: “Happy Birthday My Beautiful Girls! My baby is 6 and my big baby is 17!
“You are both my absolute everything, today is so special as you get to share it, I’m so lucky that you have each other sisters and best friends no matter your age! Let’s get you driving.”
Busy Billi also marked the first day back at school for all five of them earlier this month.
Complete with a snap of them all outside the house, she wrote: “All 5 back to school, back to a thousand school runs, back to clubs! See Ya kids! Sixth Form, Year 10, Year 7, Year 4 & Year 1. I love you.”
The parent was all emotional on Leavers Day, writing: “My Beautiful Emilierose. I’m so proud of you little lady! I’ve Had the best day with you and your girls! Leavers day, shirt singing and your prom! Senior school done baby girl! Have the best night! I love you.”
Andy and Billi got engaged in 2014, but he said things were “disintegrating” while he was in France, but that it started “going downhill” when he left West Ham in 2019.
“It was on its last legs before we tied the knot,” he said in his new book. “But we had three kids plus custody of my first two so it just felt like the right thing to do.”
Weeks after their split, he announced that he was dating celebrity stylist Lou Teasdale. Billi’s friends said she was blindsided by the news and that she “knew Andy had someone” but not that it was her, only discovering this shortly before the relationship was made public. He later confirmed they met at Glastonbury in July 2024.
