It’s been confirmed that Blink-182 will be headlining Rock for People next year, with the festival also revealing the new dates as fans eagerly anticipate more names
Blink-182 have been announced as Rock for People’s 2027 headline act. The huge announcement was shared in front of the sold-out crowd of 50,000 fans at Czechia’s Park 360 in Hradec Králové this weekend.
And while it will be a historic move, given that Blink will appear on the bill for the first time in the festival’s 30-year history, the date is also being brought forward. While Rock for People typically takes place in the middle of June, it will now see fans flock to the Czech Republic from June 2 to June 5.
Sharing the news on social media, bosses said: “We are thrilled to announce the first headliner and date for #RockforPeople2027 – blink-182.”
They added: “The presale for RockforPeople 2027, taking place June 2–5, 2027, will start Wednesday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m. via the RFP CLUB. General on sale will begin on Thursday, June 18, at 10:00.”
And fans have already been sharing who they would love to see alongside Blink. One said: “Crazy OMG.” While a second typed: “Bullet for My Valentine, Moonlight and Good Charlotte and be happy.”
“Hell yeah,” added another with two fire emojis. “Bad Omens next please,” commented a fourth. “Let’s go, take my money,” added another. A sixth excited fan exclaimed: “No way OMG.”
Currently underway, fans at Rock for People will see the likes of Iron Maiden, Saxon, Knocked Loose and Loathe today. Over the course of the weekend, Halsey debuted her new live show – The Girl In The Tower, putting on an eye-catching performance with a set spanning her biggest hits.
Halsey’s performance also included a mosh put at one of Europe’s biggest rock and metal festivals. Elsewhere, Sheffield’s Bring Me The Horizon also took to the stage, alongside the likes of Limp Bizkit, Electric Callboy, Babymetal, and Nothing But Thieves. Manchester’s The Hara also stepped in to cover Alexisonfire, who was forced to pull out due to logistical issues.
The Hara’s Zack Breen said: “Ya boys to the rescue.” And while some were disappointed over Alexisonfire having to withdraw, fans of the Mancunians were overjoyed. “It’s just The Hara’s festival, and we’re living in it,” said one.
Another penned: “The Hara literally the savior of all cancelled shows this year.” A third went on to comment: “When in doubt The Hara band to the Rescue my fave slaying Europe festivals so proud.” “You have to have them stashed up your sleeve somewhere and you always just roll up your sleeves when you need to glue something up somewhere or something. Respect to you, and to the band,” said a fourth.
It comes after Blink reissued their 2001 album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, and added six extra tracks. After teasing plans to mark the 25th anniversary of their 2001 LP, the pop‑punk legends have bundled Time To Break Up, Mother’s Day, What Went Wrong, F*** A Dog, Don’t Tell Me It’s Over, and When You F***** Grandpa onto one album – now available on streaming services and vinyl for the first time alongside the original 13 tracks.
The product listing read: “The 25-Year Anniversary Edition of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket brings together the complete album, including all six vault tracks on vinyl. Originally the first pop-punk album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, this special edition features updated artwork, 180g discs, randomised etchings of the album’s iconic symbols, and exclusive additions from the band celebrating the record’s lasting impact.”
Previously, the tracks were released individually on alternate physical formats in 2001. The trio – Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker – posted the album’s artwork on social media, prompting speculation that a full‑scale tribute to the era was on the way.
The band shared a series of posts featuring the album’s iconic colour‑coded symbols, along with snippets of behind‑the‑scenes footage from the era. They also shared a link to their mailing list to sign up to hear more.
The record, which became one of the defining pop‑punk releases of the early 2000s, marked a pivotal moment in the band’s career, as they transitioned to mainstream stardom.
