Of all the lunch bars that keep our light and heavy industrial areas moving, Rose and Elvin Foster’s Blue Box – yes, the building is painted Smurf blue – might be Perth’s most unique. Yes there are sausage rolls, energy drinks and other tradie breakfast staples, but you’ll also find true-to-type Burmese classics on the menu too. The Burmese fish noodle stew mohinga and laksa-adjacent oh noh kouk swei are available all week while weekends see Shan specialties enter the fray.
