Former EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has been spotted in a huge Christmas advert alongside pop superstar Mariah Carey.

The actor, 23, played Freddie Slater on the BBC soap for three years before quitting the show to move to India to focus on his religious practices. Since returning from India, he has been travelling around the world including walking the runway at Milan Fashion Week for designer brand Gucci and trips to New York, and back to the UK.

Now, Bobby has landed himself a huge gig starring alongside Mariah Carey in Gucci’s Christmas advert. As the date switches to November 2nd, a call is made throughout the luxury hotel about the Queen of Christmas’ arrival.

As the workers quickly get the hotel ready for the festive season, a candle is lit and the Christmas lights are hung up. Mariah’s song All I Want for Christmas Is You blasts out as Bobby is seen enjoying the festive celebrations.

Bobby quit EastEnders back in 2025 to head to India to learn more and practice Hare Krishna.

“Bobby is really excited and happy about his move to India. He’s been telling everyone about it and preaching to them about why he is devoted to Hare Krishna,” a source had said at the time.

“He’s such a nice young man, his heart is in the right place, but some people are surprised that he’s walking away from his career at a time when he’s on such a high with it. He says he expects to be over there for a long while, at least a year, so maybe he will pick up on his career eventually when he’s back.”

Discussing what was next for him at the time, he added: “I don’t know, I guess that’s how it really goes and how it works in this industry. You never really know what’s next until you go for it. But yeah, I’d like to play a variety of different roles so I can work out what I like, what I’m good at and what I need to work on.”

Bobby said at the time that he was “lucky” to have bagged a role on the soap. “Since it was confirmed, the last three months I’ve been there I really enjoyed. I enjoyed it more the last three months than I had done previously,” he said, “I’ve been lucky. I don’t know if I can call it an achievement because I’ve relied on so many other people. It’s been nice.”

Bobby is the son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier and his mother is late Big Brother star Jade Goody, who died in 2009.
