Meghann developed a close bond with Bonnie, and her husband, Robert Sullivan, got attracted towards her despite the fact that she was 42 years younger than her. She remained in touch with the couple, and it was in 2014 when Robert made his first move as he kissed her backstage at Bonnie’s concert in France. He even gave his number to her.

Meghann thought that they might be in an open marriage, and it was the start of Robert’s extramarital affair with Bonnie’s biggest fan. They would have weekly sex sessions in hotels in Portugal in 2014 behind the singer’s back. Meghann would arrange the hotels as Robert was extremely careful not to be caught.
Meghann revealed that Robert would rush off while she would want him to stay back. Robert was careful not to let his wife know anything about the affair, as they kept the routine the same without Bonnie having any suspicion on him. However, Meghann felt guilty about betraying Bonnie, but she couldn’t give up on Robert. She was quoted as saying:
“I felt bad for Bonnie. I felt guilty. I was talking to him as a friend, and then it just happened, as if by mistake. We didn’t want it to happen. It was very difficult for me. I wanted to see him, and I didn’t want to hurt Bonnie. He’s a gentleman. He made me feel good when I was with him.”

He told her that she needed to go to a mental hospital. Meghann accepted that when she told Bonnie everything, she felt relief. She said:
“I thought she had to know the truth. I emailed her to tell her things. Then Robert called me and left me a voicemail. He called me a crazy girl and said I needed to go to a mental hospital. He called me evil and that he understands why everybody hates me. When I told Bonnie, it was a relief. I kept it a secret too long. But it hurts as I lost them.”
