Brandi opened up on fears she may have contracted ‘sexually transmitted ring worm’ as she chatted to former adult star Lisa Ann on her podcast, the Brandi Unfiltered Show.
Brandi Glanville believes she might have caught “sexually transmitted ring worrm” in a shock confession on her podcast. Speaking on the Brandi Unfiltered Show, the 53-year-old host asked her guest, former adult star Lisa Ann, whether she had ever heard of the condition.
“I have a quick question. Have you heard about sexually transmitted ringworm?”, Brandi asked. “I feel like I have it… in my throat.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star believes that she allegedly contracted the infection after “dating somebody in that [adult] industry”.

She explained: “He would only, you know, my face… because he didn’t want to get me pregnant. He didn’t know that ship had sailed.
“I’m like, ‘OK, whatever, I’m not going to correct you. Alright honey.’ And in my mouth in all that, [then] my girlfriend told me about it yesterday. I knew nothing about it.”
The former reality star said she had already undergone multiple examinations to find out whether she had a sexually transmitted illness in her throat, all of which came back negative.
“I really just heard about ringworm yesterday, and they can apparently burrow in, like, if it’s in your throat. If it’s in your throat, they can burrow deep into your ears and all that.”
Responding, Lisa told Brandi the sexually transmitted ringworm is “one of those things that most people don’t know what to look for”.
“We had to train our makeup artists that when a new member of talent would show up, they would have to get naked in a window where there’s good light and they would inspect their body to see if they see any patches because it’s incredibly contagious.”
This isn’t the first time the Bravo star has opened up on her health, having faced a number of issues over the years including a facial disfigurement she blames on a parasite.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said her breast implants had “completely ruptured” leaving her with “silicone all over my lymph nodes”.
“That’s what caused the infection in my face; it couldn’t get out as my lymph nodes were all clogged.” Brandi explained.
She added: “I was shocked, because they’re implants that I’ve had for almost 20 years, they looked fine, they felt fine, the mammogram said they were fine.
“You should really change your breast implants every 10 years, and I just didn’t do it,” added Brandi, who said her implants were only recently removed.
“I thought if it’s broke, don’t fix it, but I learnt a really, really hard lesson.”
In December 2025, Brandi opened up on her recovery journey, saying: “It’s been a slow process, but I’m finally getting back to my normal routine and feeling like myself again.”
She had a fresh start after moving to a new house in the same month, revealing the “new space” had really helped her to “reset and focus on creating a calmer, more positive environment for myself”.
“I’m enjoying keeping things simple, spending more time at home, and really taking care of myself. I’m actively filming my YouTube series and working on a variety of new projects, so my focus is really on everything I’m creating today,” she said. “It’s been exciting to grow and explore new platforms.”
