Avengers: Endgame is back on the big screen as Avengers: Endgame Encore, and it has already arrived in theaters worldwide. Released on September 26, the re-release brings the 2019 epic back for fans who want to relive the cheers, tears, and final stand one more time.
This time, Marvel has added four minutes of brand-new footage filmed during Avengers: Doomsday, describing it as a critical companion story that directly sets up the next Avengers chapter ahead of its December 2026 debut.

Avengers: Endgame Encore doesn’t end with the dance. It keeps going. The first person that appears is ‘Bruce Banner.’ After the mess in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, he has put himself in a deep underground vault, recording logs while trying to build something to shut the ‘Hulk’ off for good.
The power glitches; a man steps in off-camera and says he is there to collect him. The man is revealed to be ‘Doom.’ The camera drops, the ‘Hulk’ can be heard breaking out, and the floor is left glowing with green Latverian symbols. ‘Banner’ was never announced for Doomsday, and now he is.
Second, the TVA. This is before ‘Miss Minutes’ went rogue. ‘Mobius’ walks in for a normal shift with ‘O.B.’ and ‘Casey,’ and the monitors show two Earths shooting at each other to survive. One is the Fox X-Men Earth. Then the whole board lights up as the universes are dying in real time, with the count hitting 3,000. O.B.’s line lands hard: the multiverse is collapsing. If anyone skipped the two seasons of Loki, this might go over their head.
Third, the hammer. Endgame in 2019 ended with just a clanging sound, and Encore finally shows it. It’s not ‘Tony’ in a cave anymore. It’s ‘Victor Von Doom’ hammering and putting on his iron mask. That SDCC line, which says, “New mask, same task,” now makes sense.

This is why Disney calls Avengers: Endgame Encore a companion story, not a cash-grab re-release. Piece one is not a credit tag at all. It’s the ending itself, rewritten. ‘Steve’ and ‘Peggy’ kiss, the doorbell rings, ‘Steve’ hides.
‘Peggy’ has no idea who is at the door since The Avengers hasn’t happened yet in her timeline. It’s ‘Loki,’ in TVA gear, looking straight at where ‘Steve’ is hiding and saying he can help both of them. ‘Steve’s’ decision to stay back wasn’t a clean, happy ending. It broke something, and ‘Loki’ is here to bring him back into play. The story starts from the scene where the baby appeared in the Doomsday teaser.
Pieces two and three show what ‘Doom’ is doing while ‘Steve’ is hiding. He is collecting. ‘Banner’ is just the first name on that list, and he wants ‘Hulk,’ not ‘Bruce.’ At the same time, he is letting or causing entire realities to kill each other.
The two Earths firing missiles at each other explain why ‘Xavier,’ ‘Magneto,’ ‘Cyclops,’ ‘Nightcrawler,’ and ‘Beast’ are crossing over. They are not cameos. Their Earth is trying not to die. Piece four is the intent.
By giving ‘Doom’ the hammer that once belonged to Tony, Marvel is closing the ‘Iron Man’ chapter for good. Feige has said that after Secret Wars, the MCU will move to one Sacred Timeline again. The man who will do that job is ‘Doom,’ and Avengers: Endgame Encore shows him building the face he will use to do it.
