Brewers vs. Dodgers prediction: Expect an NLCS Game 2 pitcher’s duel Monday

We have a new favorite to win the World Series.

After defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers and starter Tarik Skubal in Game 1 of the NLCS, the Milwaukee Brewers are now your World Series favorite.

Though, they’re underdogs in Game 2, when they send Logan Henderson to the mound opposite superstar pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Brewers are +120 (45.45 percent) on Polymarket in Game 2, as Yamamoto is one of the best pitchers in all of baseball.

Henderson is no slouch in his own right, though, posting an excellent 2.47 ERA and going 11-3 in 18 starts this season after starting the year in AAA.

Henderson pounds the strike zone better than most, hitting the zone at a 57.1 percent rate, well above the average between 40 and 50 percent.

He walks just 5.2 percent of batters among the lowest in baseball.

Henderson has pitched well against the Dodgers in two starts this year, allowing just one run in 12 innings with 13 strikeouts and four walks.

Yamamoto has done very well against the Brewers in his career, with a 1.23 ERA in his last three starts, posting a complete game three-hitter in Game 2 of the NLCS last year.

This pitching matchup should be fascinating and in a league where the bullpens are called in far too often in the fourth innings, I expect both pitchers to continue their dominance of these two lineups.

I’m targeting both pitchers this evening to continue going deep into these games.

Yamamoto’s over/under outs recorded comes in at 18.5 on Polymarket (+111, 47.39 percent) while Henderson sits at 15.5 on Novig (+144, 40.98 percent).

I’m certainly interested in both of those options for tonight’s Game 2, though I’ll pass on the total of seven runs in case a bullpen implodes late in the game.

PREDICTION: Yamamoto over 18.5 outs recorded (Polymarket, +111, 47.39 percent) | Henderson over 15.5 outs recorded (Novig, +144, 40.98 percent)
