Brighton return to European football this evening when they welcome FK Kauno Zalgiris to the Amex Stadium for their opening Conference League league phase fixture.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side have enjoyed an impressive start to the season and head into the clash on the back of four consecutive wins in all competitions, scoring 13 goals in the process.
The Seagulls have not lost since a 4-3 defeat to Chelsea in August, with their recent run including a 3-0 win over Arsenal and a 2-0 success at Sunderland last weekend.
Brighton sit third in the Premier League with 13 points from six matches and are among the favourites to win this season’s Conference League.
Their opponents, Kauno Zalgiris, are making their first appearance in the league phase of a major European competition.
The Lithuanian champions dropped into the Conference League after defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Besiktas in Champions League and Europa League qualifying respectively.
However, Zeljko Sopic’s side have been in excellent domestic form, winning six of their last seven league matches to move top of the Lithuanian A Lyga.
